Tariff position calculator

Answer up to five questions about the offer you are billing. The calculator narrows the 596 positions of tariff 595 down to the one that belongs on the receipt, with the official note and the dates it is valid.

Every line of a tariff 595 receipt needs a position number. Set the date of the service first, because the list of valid positions changes on 1 January 2027, then work through the questions. The panel beside them shows how many positions still fit while you answer.

The list of valid positions changes on 1 January 2027. Enter the date on which the service was used, not the date of the invoice.

The questions

Before you put the number on a receipt

Three things worth knowing about the result.

The wording stays German

Position names and official notes are quoted from the tariff list in German, so that every line can be checked against the source document word for word. Only the questions and the labels around them are translated.

Check the date first

Many positions either start or end on 1 January 2027. The calculator only offers positions that are valid on the date you entered, so a wrong date gives a wrong answer.

This calculator is a reading aid, not a legal source. Where something is unclear, the tariff list published by the tariff partners is what counts. The documentation links to every official document.
